12×D Deep Hole Solid Carbide Drill with Internal Coolant
Designed for CNC deep-hole drilling where hole depth, chip evacuation and coolant delivery are critical. This 12×D solid carbide drill uses internal coolant channels to deliver cutting fluid directly toward the cutting zone, helping support more stable drilling over extended hole depths.
Key Features
12×D drilling capability: suitable for deep-hole applications with a nominal drilling depth up to approximately 12 times the drill diameter, subject to machine setup and cutting conditions.
Internal coolant: coolant is delivered through the tool to support chip evacuation and temperature control during deeper drilling.
Solid carbide construction: provides the rigidity required for precision CNC drilling.
Wide metric range: available from Ø3 mm to Ø16 mm with multiple shank and overall-length combinations.
Precision size selection: many diameters are available in 0.1 mm increments for applications that require closer size matching.
Typical Applications
Deep-hole drilling on CNC machining centers
Precision hole making in components requiring long drilling reach
Production environments where internal coolant and controlled chip evacuation are preferred

How to Select the Correct Size
Each variant is listed in a dimensional format such as 3×D4×54×92. The first value is the cutting diameter, followed by the shank diameter and the corresponding length dimensions. Select the variant that matches your required hole diameter and available tool clearance.
Machining Notes
Deep-hole drilling performance depends strongly on machine rigidity, toolholding, coolant pressure, workpiece material and cutting parameters. For demanding applications, use a suitable pilot operation or entry strategy when required by your process. Confirm coolant flow before drilling and avoid interrupted coolant supply during deep-hole machining.
Why Choose a 12×D Internal-Coolant Drill?
Compared with standard-length drills, a 12×D design is intended for deeper holes where external coolant may not reliably reach the cutting zone. Internal coolant helps carry chips out of the hole and supports more consistent drilling conditions over the full depth.
