Pipe Tap Geometry
The front section is slotted, with chip evacuation on top for easy reconditioning. It is suitable for through holes and blind holes, and can be used on copper or steel materials below 20 degrees.

Application
Common pipe-thread sizes are shown below.

Thread Specification
01 This connection features a 55° Whitworth non-sealing straight pipe thread, where the
outer diameter and inner diameter sizes of the thread are not the same.
02 It is recommended to use calipers for measurement to avoid specification selection errors due to inaccurate measurements.
03 When measuring the diameter, there may be deviations due to thread wear; select the tap size that is closest to the measured size. If still uncertain, contact customer service for recommended sizes.
04 Threads designated as G and BSP are both British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) thread
designations with a 55-degree thread angle

Specification Sheet
1/2 indicates the size of the pipe thread (1/2 inch, commonly known as a four-inch pipe).
14 represents the number of threads per inch (14 threads per inch), so the pitch is 25.4/14.
‘Z’ denotes a 60-degree taper pipe.
‘ZG’ signifies a 55-degree taper pipe.
‘G’ refers to a 55-degree straight pipe thread,
(which is suitable for non-sealing pipe thread processing).
All taps are fully ground (except for the square end of the shank).
G1/8 - The nominal size for the internal bore diameter is 1/8 inch, corresponding to an
external thread diameter of 9.728 mm
G1/4 - The standard dimension for the internal bore diameter is 1/4 inch, with an
external thread diameter of 13.157 mm
G3/8 - The designated size for the internal bore is 3/8 inch, while the nominal outer
thread diameter measures 16.662 mm
G1/2 - The standard dimension for the internal bore diameter is 1/2 inch, with a
nominal outer thread diameter of 20.955 mm
G3/4 - The specified internal bore diameter is 3/4 inch, corresponding to a nominal
outer thread diameter of 26.441 mm
G1 - The standard internal bore diameter is 1 inch, with a nominal outer thread
diameter of 33.249 mm

03、Then Screw it out Counterclockwise
04、The Thread Repair is Complete

Ground Thread Geometry Standard Pitch
Tapping resistance is smaller than common taps, it is the choice of through hole machining, standard tooth pitch, no damaged teeth, no burrs.

Ground Cutting Edge
The cutting edges are ground for stable thread cutting and controlled surface finish.

Square Drive
Square drive for use with a compatible tap wrench or machine tap holder.

Tapping Speed Reference
Tapping speed depends on workpiece material, pilot-hole condition, tap geometry, coating, cutting fluid and machine capability. Use the reference table below as a starting point and adjust to actual machine and workpiece conditions.
