SNMG1204 Turning Inserts

90° negative carbide turning inserts for CNC lathe machining, available in SNMG120404 and SNMG120408 sizes with multiple chip breakers and cutting grades.

Material Grades

• BB2055: TiAlSiN-coated grade for stainless steel. BF is intended for finishing and semi-finishing, while BM and R-S options provide stronger cutting edges for heavier machining.
• BKP2055: CVD-coated grade for steel with a balance of toughness and wear resistance. TM, GM, GF and R-S geometries cover medium machining through roughing and finishing.
• BL2060: General-purpose grade for a wider range of machining conditions.
• BF2055: Suitable for aluminum machining.
• BK2055-K: CVD-coated grade for cast iron.

Chip Breakers

Available geometries include TM, MA, BM, BF, GM, GF, R-S and L-S depending on the selected grade. Choose the geometry according to workpiece material, cutting depth and required surface finish.

Select SNMG120404 or SNMG120408 together with the required chip breaker and cutting grade from the variant menu.
