BB Roughing End Mill Series - Professional Solutions for Different Materials & Working Conditions
Reading the size options — Ø (cutting diameter) × shank Ø × flute length × overall length, all in mm. Example: 6×6×20×75 = 6 mm cutting diameter, 6 mm shank, 20 mm flute, 75 mm overall.
Milling stainless steel — three grades to choose from
- BK2055 — general-purpose carbide for stainless and steel up to HRC 45. Best value when one tool has to cover mixed work.
- SUS Series — 4-flute corner-radius geometry developed for stainless, titanium and heat-resistant alloys.
- JIN — TiZr coating with a 38°/40° unequal helix, for side milling and dynamic paths where chatter is the limiting factor.
Recommended workpiece materials — BK2055
Stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel up to HRC 45. A general-purpose carbide grade built for everyday milling, drilling and tapping where toughness and edge stability matter more than hot hardness.
This series is designed for high-efficiency roughing, combining various flute designs, substrates, and coatings to achieve high metal removal rates and tool life.
/ Series Overview
|
BF2055 / Non-Ferrous Metal Expert
-
Design Philosophy: Optimized rake angle and polished edges provide extreme sharpness, minimizing built-up edge in non-ferrous metals.
-
Advantages: Cost-effective, low cutting force, excellent surface finish.
BC2055 / Anti-Adhesion King
-
Design Philosophy: Unique colored DLC coating with ultra-low friction and high surface hardness prevents aluminum adhesion.
-
Advantages: Extremely long lifespan, suitable for dry cutting, excellent side-wall finish on aluminum.
BB2055 / General Purpose Workhorse
-
Design Philosophy: Classic TiSiN coating balances hardness and toughness; universal flute design handles most steel and stainless steel.
-
Advantages: Versatile, cost-effective, wide application range.
BK2055 / Chip Evacuation Master
-
Design Philosophy: Innovative U-type flute design provides larger chip space and smoother evacuation path than traditional serrated cutters.
-
Advantages: Enables higher feed rates and longer continuous machining in mild steel and long-chip materials.
BL2060 / Extreme Conditions Warrior
-
Design Philosophy: Nano-composite blue-grey AlTiN coating withstands extreme cutting temperatures, ideal for difficult-to-machine materials.
-
Advantages: Excellent red hardness, strong oxidation resistance.

☆Usually 35° can meet the rough machining with large margin or relatively soft material machining.
☆45° can be processed relatively difficult to machine materials, but the cutting volume is slightly lower.
☆Normally, 30/35° helix angle is used for material processing, and 45° helix angle is recommended for stainless steel.
